Would you tell us a little bit about your family?
My husband and I have been together for 19 years. We have a lovely 11 year old daughter
who is my right hand and secretary, and a terrific 9 year old son- both blessings
from God.

How did you become a cross-stitch designer?
Linen Flowers Designs began in approx. 2002, when I began to branch out of
Crochet Patterns at
http://angiesgiftsbyhand.com, into Cross Stitch. It was a challenge for
me to learn to draw pictures rather than importing them.

What inspires you to come up with new designs?
God's hand in creating, and His Word inspires me most. My goal is to make each
one natural looking, and realistic.

How important to our industry is teaching others to cross-stitch?
All needlework is beautiful, but Cross Stitch is like a painting coming to life on fabric.
Most people are surprised that a series of X's are able to accomplish that. Teaching
children is one way to insure the future of Cross-Stitch. I have been fortunate to
teach many homeschool classes in needlework- it was exciting to see kids proud to learn.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not designing or stitching?
I like watching old movies with my kids and love all needlework. Each one of my days
starts with a blessing when I read the Bible with my coffee.

Is there an independently owned needleart shop in your area?
Stitch 'N Frame in Des Moines, Iowa, has been very supportive of my designs. Thank you!
